Research Overview
The Stackpole Report on Banking is an ongoing research series that seeks to shed light on consumer banking habits and preferences as they relate to choosing their Primary Financial Institution. Each report is based on an online survey of Massachusetts residents between the ages of 25 and 60. The sample size of each survey results in a confidence level of at least 95% and a margin of error of +/- 5%.
The first report, Choosing a Primary Financial Institution, reveals details about consumer banking habits and preferences, the propensity for customers to change banks, barriers to change, and the role the web plays in the decision-making process. The second report, How the Economy is Effecting Bank Choice, shows how the economy has changed perceptions about banks of all sizes, and how banking habits have been effected by recent bank failures and other events. The third study, titled Banks and Social Media: Everything You Need to Know, uncovers key trends among banking customers regarding social media venues such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and others. Specifically, it provides details about social media usage among bank customers, public perceptions about these sites, and the role that banks can play in this emerging media venue. The complete findings of all three research reports are available for purchase at a cost of $395 per report.
